The master bedroom was designed around a faux finish created on the walls of the home by artist Patrick Sheehan.  Bedding was chosen around the gold, green, grey and brown color schemes in the room

Bed and pillows are from Arhaus. Bedding is both Arhaus and Potterybarn

The Louisville Skyline

Various 467The Louisville Skyline is young.  We don’t have the huge skyscrapers you see in bigger cities like Chicago or NYC.  We also don’t have some of the density issues either.  You can travel around and your GPS probably won’t get you lost because it can’t find a clear link to a satellite.  You can see it from the Indiana side of the river or if you’re walking the Big Four Bridge.  Either way, it’s yours to enjoy.

A summer retreat

Summertime in the ‘Ville

Its doesn’t get much prettier or HOTTER in Louisville during the summer. Decks are the outdoor room added to the house.  Just open the back door and the oasis awaits.  We had planned on adding a roof over the deck several years ago, but just couldn’t do it. The view has a tree house affect and was just too lovely. So…we opted for  umbrellas.  Lots and lots of umbrellas. We get shade and can still lean back and see the stars on a warm summer night. Yep, the livin’ is easy up here.
